“YSU PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN DEVELOPMENT OF RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES”: AMBASSADOR OF IRAN TO ARMENIA SEYED KAZEM SADJADI
YSU ACTING Rector Gegham Gevorgyan welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr. Seyed Kazem Sadjadi who is completing his mission in Armenia.
The YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations Arthur Israelyan was present at the meeting as well.
During the meeting the parties spoke about the tight cooperation between Yerevan State University and Islamic Free University, about the scientific conferences organized during four years, semirs-discussions and further perspectives.
Mr. Seyed Kazem Sadjadi informed that on the initiative of the head of the chair of Iranian Studies of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies Vardan Voskanyan and with the support of the embassy students visit Iran and familiarize themselves with Iranian culture, centuries-old history and political structure.
Highly appreciating the role of YSU in Armenian-Iranian friendly relations Mr. Voskanyan said the conferences and seminars will be organized to familiarize the students with the religion of the two countries.
Mr. Israelyan attached importance to the willingness to develop Armenian-Iranian friendly relations.
He also spoke about the programs realized during the last four years.
At the end of the meeting Gegham Gevorgyan informed about the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation to be held at the end of September and presented Mr.Seyed Kazem Sadjadi with one of the souvenirs dedicated to YSU Centennial.
