Experts from the Scientific-Educational Center for Drug Quality Control and Monitoring YSU Institute of Pharmacy participated in a training program in India from February 24 to March 7, aimed at enhancing the analytical skills and knowledge of chemists in the analysis of illicit drugs and harmonized system (HS) classified goods.
The training, titled "Professional Programme for Illicit Drugs & HS Goods by Modern Analytical Tools," was conducted on a competitive basis. Experts Ela Minasyan and Lusine Hayrapetyan successfully completed the training.
The program was organized by the Central Revenues Control Laboratory in India to develop skills for the chemical analysis of psychoactive substances and drug samples. It focused on the use of modern equipment to analyze HS goods and aimed to update participants’ knowledge of contemporary methods and technologies.
The program combined theoretical and practical sessions, using state-of-the-art analytical instruments. Participants had the opportunity to analyze real samples and interpret the data obtained.
The program concluded with a discussion and presentation of certificates. The successful professional training of the center's experts will contribute to the effectiveness of its operations.
