Laboratory of Integrative and Adaptive Physiology of Humans and Animals
The Laboratory of Human and Animal Physiology was established in 1983 and has been part of the Institute of Biology since 2016. In 2025, it was renamed the Laboratory of Human and Animal Integrative and Adaptive Physiology.
The research areas of the laboratory include:
- Physiological research
- Histological research
- Immunohistochemical research
- Hematological research
- Cellular research
The scientific research of the laboratory is focused on assessing the stability of vertebrate ontogenesis and cellular homeostasis in extreme conditions. The main research directions include:
- Evaluation of histopathological changes in the internal organs and different regions of the brain in rats under conditions of multiple sclerosis.
- Evaluation of histopathological changes in the internal organs and different regions of the brain in rats under hypoxia conditions.
- Study of the mechanisms regulating the functions of internal systems under the influence of ecological and technogenic factors.
- Dynamics of cardiovascular system indicators in students and adolescents under various academic workload conditions.
These studies allow for the assessment of the adaptive capacities of biological systems and the development of practical recommendations for health preservation and risk reduction.
