28th International Conference of the European Association of Spanish Teachers at YSU
From April 45 to 18, 2025, YSU will host the 28th International Conference of the European Association of Spanish Teachers, titled "Spanish: A Language Without Borders in Time and Space. Tradition, Innovation, and Intercultural Dialogue."
The event will begin on April 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in YSU Academic Council Session Hall (it will continue in the Balian Hall on April 16, and in the conference hall of the Faculty of European Languages and Communication on April 18).
The European Association of Spanish Teachers is one of the most prestigious associations in the world dedicated to the teaching of the Spanish language and culture, uniting experts from over 40 countries worldwide. This year, the association’s conference will be hosted at YSU in collaboration with the Chair of Romance Philology.
The conference will focus on various issues related to the development of the Spanish language in the context of time and space, with the rich literary and cultural heritage of the language serving as the cornerstone upon which innovations and traditions harmoniously intertwine.
Experts from leading universities in Armenia and European countries (Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Romania, Latvia, Georgia) will participate in the conference, discussing a variety of issues related to the Spanish language, literature, and culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Armenia, Rafael González Alemán, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic, Sandra Santana, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Spain in Armenia, Cristina Conesa, along with other official guests.
