On June 7, at the Center for Pedagogy and Education Development, professors Irena Zemaitaityte and Jolanta Pivoriene from Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) held their second meeting with the teaching staff of the center. The meeting aimed to foster cooperative ties for exchanging extensive scientific and pedagogical experience.
The speakers were greeted by the Director of ICRC, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Nazik Harutyunyan. She emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation and noted that the more the field of scientific and pedagogical research expands its boundaries and becomes comprehensive, the more versatile the final results of the studies will be.
During the meeting, professors Irena Zemaitaityte and Jolanta Pivoriene talked about the importance of Lithuania's integration into the European educational area, noting that many issues of the organization of professional education have been reformed in their country since 2009.
The speakers engaged in discussions with ICRC faculty members, compared the educational programs implemented at Mykolas Romeris University and Yerevan State University, the processes of organizing higher education, research methodologies, and highlighted commonalities and differences.
Towards the end of the meeting, Professor N. Harutyunyan handed over several issues of the international scientific-methodological peer-reviewed trilingual journal 'Education in the 21st Century,' which is published by the center, to the guest. She expressed hope for future collaboration in implementing joint research projects focusing on contemporary pedagogical issues.
