Organization of Education

In 1998, The "Organization of Education" Master's degree program was established at Yerevan State University /full-time/, which prepares education sphere managers not only for the fields of general education and higher education in Armenia but for Armenian schools in the Diaspora as well. The duration of the Master's degree educational program is two years, at the end of which the graduate receives a Master's degree in education, the qualification of an educational manager.

Admission requirements

Admission to the Master's degree program is conducted through oral examination in general pedagogy.

The aim of the program

The program aims to present the structure of RA general education and higher education systems in detail, the goal, problems, strategies, and implementation methods of the educational policy, the legal framework of the education system, the factors promoting education, and management issues.

Advantages

Within the framework of the program, students gain knowledge about management theories, study the essence, principles, functions, methods, and styles of education management, and acquire management abilities and skills, which are strengthened during professional internships.

In 2009, the program also launched the part-time mode of study (duration is 2.5 years, with the same qualification).

Today, the public and higher schools of the Republic of Armenia need knowledgeable managers armed with knowledge relevant to the requirements of the time, who will be able to apply new approaches during management activities to provide solutions to problems arising in the field.
