1. Admission criteria/requirements
The admission is carried out according to the "YSU Master's degree (full-time and part-time) admission procedure".
The applicants must have:
· Bachelor's degrees in any science,
· sufficient knowledge of computer science,
· some programming experience,
· knowledge of English corresponding to at least A2 level.
Admission is based on a graded interview.

2. Programme Objectives
The program aims to provide students with:
. knowledge and skills necessary for managing information systems (knowledge of the theoretical foundations of computer science, analysis of the subject domain, decision-making),
. practical professional skills (implementation of information systems, guiding the development of new applications),
. general abilities that can be used during the graduate's career (use of various sources of information, creative application of existing knowledge, resource planning, compliance with professional ethics norms).
. knowledge and skills necessary for managing information systems (knowledge of the theoretical foundations of computer science, analysis of the subject domain, decision-making),
. practical professional skills (implementation of information systems, guiding the development of new applications),
. general abilities that can be used during the graduate's career (use of various sources of information, creative application of existing knowledge, resource planning, compliance with professional ethics norms).
3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- to characterize the theoretical foundations of analysis and design of algorithms, data models, and computing systems,
- to cover the fundamental principles of data storage and protection,
- to characterize the principles of process design and implementation in distributed environments,
- to interpret telecommunications and Web-technologies,
- to clarify economic models, financial operations, and e-business,
- to characterize the methods of building business-oriented software systems,
- to interpret legal and ethical norms related to the use and construction of information systems.
- to choose and build efficient algorithms and data storage models,
- to create dynamic Web pages, participate in the creation of databases and network applications,
- to use various marketing strategies, and financial instruments and implement business processes,
- to make suggestions on increasing the efficiency of the work of the given sector,
- to build new applications for information systems used in a given business sector,
- to demonstrate high performance both as a team member and as a team leader.

Based on the workload of the courses provided by the curriculum of the educational program, the mode of study, teaching methods, and taking into account the importance of the course in the formation of the student's professional knowledge and abilities, the courses are divided into 4 groups according to the evaluation form:

The program was developed based on the state educational standard for the specialty "Information Technologies" and corresponds to the "Information Systems" program of the Courant Institute of New York University.

· teaching portfolio: 100% online availability of teaching materials,
· the average grades obtained by the results of the student survey: at least 4.0 (for teaching professors).

9. Additional information about the programme
The "Information Systems Management" program is the result of the further development of the Master's program of the same name operating in YSU Information Technologies Educational and Research Center from 2008 to 2016. The latter was implemented in YSU in 2005 with the support of the US Agency for International Development, based on the "Information Systems" program of the Courant Institute of New York University.
