Seven 4th-year students from the English Chair of Cross-Cultural Communication at YSU completed their professional internship at the AGBU Armenian Virtual College during the second semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. According to them, the internship at the virtual university was enriching and effective.
Sharing their impressions of the internship, the students noted that it was particularly fascinating to explore Anglo-American culture, traditions, and unique history. Another significant aspect was that, while communicating with international participants on the online platform, YSU students applied their knowledge and presented Armenia, its culture, and traditions in English.
The head of the Educational Department of the Armenian Virtual University, along with the specialists, showed a unique approach to the students by encouraging their participation in the courses. They introduced the university's educational programs and processes, provided opportunities for the students to participate in online courses, and actively engage in discussions.
For their final project, under the guidance of the virtual university's specialists, the students organized an online presentation on Armenian traditional dances. During the presentation, YSU students adeptly conveyed the spirit and cultural value of Armenian dances, achieving impressive results.
Expressing their satisfaction with the professional internship, the students emphasized that the Armenian Virtual University employs innovative methods, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a real educational environment, work with modern technologies, and contribute to the development of Armenian studies.
By providing an engaging environment, the AGBU Armenian Virtual College has given students the opportunity to participate in educational programs, apply their knowledge, and develop their intercultural communication skills.
