About the program
The program is designed for undergraduates (of various specialties) who want to develop professional qualities, gain new knowledge and master the skills to assess economic situations and overcome emerging problems.
The program consists of general, professional and elective courses. Compulsory professional courses and elective courses are of applied importance and focus, they are devoted to current problems, challenges and forecasting changes in economic development, developing economic policy, conducting research and analysis in economics, mastering tools for overcoming crisis situations.
Admission Requirements
Graduates with bachelor's, master's, or graduate qualifications from other non-governmental universities who have passed state and institutional accreditation in their specialties, have the opportunity to apply for admission to the YSU Master's degree program for the 2023/2024 academic year in full-time and part-time forms of study.
Admission to the YSU Master's program for full-time and part-time education for the 2023/2024 academic year will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the "Procedure for admission to the YSU Master's Program (full-time and part-time education)".

The aim of the program
The purpose of the educational program is to prepare competitive specialists in accordance with the requirements of labor markets, able to assess situations and make effective decisions, to give students theoretical knowledge and practical skills to solve various problems of economic development. One of the main goals is to provide skills in methods, models and tools for conducting analysis and research of economic situations, to provide the necessary knowledge for orientation in the legal and legislative field and the development of effective policy, to equip students with the skills of developing economic strategies, their targeted and adaptive implementation.
Advantages
Upon completion of the program, the student will master the methodology and a set of tools for studying economics and conducting research, will be able to assess the economic and legal norms established in the field of public and economic management, develop development plans using modern optimization, econometric and other methods, analyze and evaluate shocks in local and global markets and ways to overcome them, analyze features of management of various sectors of the economy, as well as principles and methods of public administration and local self-government, to master the skills of developing economic strategies. In the second year, students undergo a 6-week professional internship in partner organizations and in the private sector of the economy.
