1. Admission criteria/requirements
The admission is carried out in accordance with the regulations for admission to the YSU’s Master's degree programs approved by the Academic Council of Yerevan State University on May 26, 2022 (No. 9/2).
2. Programme Objectives
The program aims to train specialists in state, managerial, and legal activities who will be able to:
. analyze and observe state-legal phenomena from the perspectives of sociological, philosophical, value-oriented, and anthropological approaches, perform their scientific and sociological research,
. carry out theoretical training in law, skillfully applying the professional knowledge of law in practice, carrying out independent legal studies and research,
. interpret and critically analyze the norms of the constitutional and other branches of law, compare them with the constitutional and legal legislations of other countries,
· orientate in the system and jurisdiction of state and local self-government bodies, develop proposals for improving the legal activity of the state body, organization,
· perform legal consulting, legal assistance, and representation functions.

3. Educational outcomes of the programme
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- to cover the approaches of RA and other countries in the implementation of general legal (constitutional) policy
- explain the system of constitutional regulation and the problems of constitutionalization of public relations
- justify the main directions of improvement of the constitutional, administrative, customs, tax, electoral legislation, and institutional system, including in terms of national security
- present the basics and rules of law-making and law-enforcement techniques, to explain the specifics of their application in constitutional, administrative, customs, tax, and electoral legislation
- describe the methods of conducting research in constitutional, administrative, customs, tax, electoral law, general patterns of state-legal phenomena, methodological, philosophical, fundamentals of jurisprudence, sociological approaches to state-legal phenomena
- present the domestic and international mechanisms of human rights protection, and the problems of the implementation and protection of the rights of refugees and migrants, to evaluate the role of international humanitarian law in the human rights protection system

- propose initiatives to improve the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, to increase the efficiency of the activities of the legislative, executive, and judicial bodies of the Republic of Armenia, to design a strategy for the improvement and development of the constitutional and administrative regulation of the Republic of Armenia, including from the point of view of the national security doctrine
- compare the state and legal systems and legislations of RA and foreign countries, including the constitutional and legal systems and legislations, if necessary independently collecting, analyzing, classifying, interpreting with systematic and comprehensive arguments the information in foreign languages
- apply research methods in constitutional, administrative, customs, tax, electoral law
- prepare applications to the RA Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights, and other international structures
- analyze and evaluate the enforcement mechanisms of international humanitarian law in the legal system of RA and propose ways to improve them
- interpret and analyze the provisions of the legislation of the relevant field (constitutional, administrative, customs, tax, international humanitarian, refugee, and migrant rights), research the factual circumstances of the legal case based on the type of law enforcement, carry out the correct qualification of the act, develop a draft of an individual legal act
- use various sources of information (electronic and non-electronic)
- effectively plan the time and resources necessary for the solution of the set problems, both at the individual level and in the group, including in a multicultural environment, when carrying out activities
- present reports, and research results, present to the professional and non-professional community in a comprehensive and well-argued manner, explain, as well as receive information, and ideas related to the field of jurisprudence, to substantiate one's views with arguments, including during scientific debates
- communicate freely with different social groups and their representatives, including in a foreign language. Maintain the rules of professional ethics
4. Assessment methods
Courses without final assessment. For each course, the mandatory components for student evaluation are 2 mid-term exams (7-9 points), which can be conducted in written or oral form. At least two of the other components are chosen by the teaching professor, which are check-ups: 0-8 points, individual work: 0-8 points, and participation: 0-3 points.
Courses with a final assessment. For each course, the mandatory components for student evaluation are 2 mid-term exams: 6-8 points and a final exam: 7-9 points. One of the other components is chosen by the teaching professor, they are the mid-term check-ups: 0- 6 points, individual work: 0-6 points, and participation: 0-3 points.
Courses with mid-term exams. The final exam is a mandatory component for the evaluation of students: 7-9 points. The professor chooses two of the other components, they are the mid-term check-up: 0-8 points, individual work: 0- 8 points, and participation: 0-3 points.
General courses are assessed only through a final exam.
At the end of the program, the students submit theses for defense.

5. Graduates future career opportunities
After completing the Master's program, graduates can work in legislative, executive, judiciary, local self-government bodies, the Ministry of Justice, the legal service, the Office of the Human Rights Defender, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, scientific research centers, occupying the following positions: field development strategy consultant, jurist-analyst, judge's assistant, judge's advisor, judicial department junior, leader, chief specialist, judge, legal acts expert agency employee, minister's advisor, researcher, working team leader.
Graduates of the program can continue their studies in the postgraduate studies of the YSU Faculty of Law.

· ability to interpret the provisions of the theory of constitutional justice,
· ability to identify the content and nature of international documents related to the field,

· ability to identify gaps, weaknesses, and strengths in legislation and practice.

· an academic degree in law, or, in some cases, a Master's degree in a given specialty at a foreign university,
· availability of at least 3 scientific and/or methodical publications in the last 5 years,
· at least 3 participations in conferences and/or workshops in the last 5 years.
Pedagogical experience
· at least 3 years of experience in teaching and/or training (trainings) of professional courses,
· participation in local or international trainings and/or professional qualification improvement courses during the last 5 years,
Practical experience
· at least 5 years of work experience in the legal system, judicial system, HRD office: lawyer, judge, legal consultant, etc.
Other requirements
Teaching portfolio: availability of online materials for at least 50% of taught subjects,
· the average grades obtained by the results of the student survey: at least 4.0 (for teaching professors).
