Students from grades 7A and 7B at Yerevan Basic School №4 named after Levon Shant, conducted their project work as part of the subject "Biology" under the supervision of the Biophysics Chair at the Faculty of Biology.
The topic of project work was "Tissue Swelling". In particular, the students studied the swelling process in frog tissues. Swelling plays a crucial role in the life of the organism and is one of the factors that has a regulatory role in the water balance of tissues and cells.
The use of biological objects with similar structural features in research primarily helps to characterize the properties of some objects that are difficult to work with. In the scope of project work, the students explored the research process, independently determined the swelling of frog tissues using the weighing method. They investigated the chemical factor on the swelling process of frog muscle tissue, obtained data to calculate tissue swelling degrees, conducted analysis, and drew conclusions.
