Program admission requirements
To apply for the "Biology" program the applicant should hold a certificate of secondary, primary vocational, or secondary vocational education. The admission is carried out according to the "Regulation of admission to RA state and non-state higher educational institutions (Bachelor's educational program)" approved by the RA Government (April 26, 2012 N 597-N).
Applicants of the educational program take the following exams:
Biology (compulsory),
Physics or chemistry (as per the applicant's choice),
Armenian language (non-competitive).
The aim of the program
The "Biology" educational program aims to provide students with fundamental and applied knowledge of the structure and functioning of living organisms at the molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organismal, and population levels. The program develops students' abilities to apply biological methods and technologies.
The educational program includes an internship, which allows developing the skills of working in field conditions and becoming acquainted with the diversity of fungi, plants, and animals common in Armenia. Professional internships are conducted in research institutes and various sectoral organizations, contributing to the development of students' practical skills.
By participating in the courses of the pedagogic educational system (optional), the graduates receive the qualification of a pedagogue.
Career opportunities
Graduates of the "Biology" educational program have the opportunity to continue their studies or work in enterprises operating in the fields of nature conservation and rational use of nature, medicine, agriculture, food, and medicine production.
