About the program
Admission requirements
Graduates of the last three years of the "Biology" educational program with a GPA above 13 can be admitted without an exam, and graduates with a GPA below 13 or graduates of other educational programs should pass an oral exam. The questionnaire can be found in the "Admission" section.
The aim of the program
The program aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge of the main areas of fungi and plant studies.
Advantages
Students acquire skills in the phylogeny of plants and fungi, mycobiota of RA flora and fungi, medicinal plants, medicinal fungi, and useful plants, studies of artificial cultivation of fungi, separation of various biologically active substances from plants and fungi, determination of their quantitative and qualitative composition, and degree of air pollution in different important areas. They learn about landscape design, the variety of edible and poisonous plants and fungi, and their practical significance.
Career opportunities
Students of the educational program have the opportunity to participate in mycological and botanical scientific expeditions and scientific research works.
