New opportunities for financial development: cooperation agreement is signed
Today Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, Rector of Yerevan State University, and Andranik Grigoryan, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman of the Executive Board of Converse Bank signed a cooperation agreement to unite their efforts for organizing training courses for the specialists of the field, implementing educational and scientific-research studies, as well as other joint programs.
The parties will jointly develop and implement educational and research programs within the framework of the approved cooperation and signed agreement at the initiative of the Chair of Actuarial and Financial Mathematics, the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of YSU and with the support of the Alumni and Career Center.
According to YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, one of the guarantees for the development of education is the connection with the labor market. "The knowledge provided by the university must find its effective application at work. With this cooperation, we will be able to understand and formulate current trends, revise our educational programs and keep up with the demands of the times."
In his speech, Andranik Grigoryan emphasized the importance of competitive education in accordance with international standards. "Today's students will join the ranks of employees of various sectors, including banks, tomorrow. We value participation in the training of financial system specialists and are ready to support both with our experience and through the implementation of various joint projects."
To achieve the defined goals YSU educational and methodological bases, laboratories, human resources and professional knowledge, capabilities and skills, as well as resources and practical knowledge of Convers Bank will be invested in.
To strengthen and develop university-private company connections conferences and roundtable discussions (including international ones) will be organized, and the research results will be presented to each other.
In addition, within the framework of the cooperation, YSU will organize short-term courses for the company’s employees, as well as ensure their participation in certain classes of undergraduate and master’s educational programs.
Within the framework of the cooperation, YSU students will have the opportunity to undergo their professional internship at "Converse Bank" company.
Today, during the meeting, the heads and representatives of the two institutions, emphasizing the importance of university-labor marker connection, discussed the expected results and the opportunities to implement new programs.
