YSU student wins competition organized by the RA Central Bank
Fenya Amirbekyan, a 1st-year student of the "Financial Mathematics" graduate program of the Chair of Actuarial and Financial Mathematics of YSU, won the 1st place in the research competition after Isahak Isahakyan organized by the RA Central Bank and received a cash prize of 1 million AMD.
The competition after Isahak Isahakyan, the first president of the Central Bank, was held in two stages. The authors of the best 6 research papers selected as a result of the first stage presented their research at the Central Bank, after which the Central Bank Council selected the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize places in the "Student" and "Non-student researcher" nominations.
Fenya Amirbekyan, who won the 1st place in the "Student" nomination, conducted research on the topic of "Coordination of Monetary and Macroprudential Policies", trying to find out whether the coordination of monetary and macroprudential policies has implementation and communication difficulties.
Referring to the topic of her research, the YSU student mentioned. "In my paper, it is presented how the monetary and macroprudential policies should be conducted to achieve price and financial stability, which is a relevant topic for the Central Bank."
Fenya, giving importance to the role of theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired at YSU, emphasized, "Thanks to winning this competition, I realized that the path I took was not in vain. Winning the 1st place in the research competition marks the right start of my career."
It should be noted that the research competition after Isahak Isahakyan aims to increase the interest in research, as well as to create a community of researchers to involve them in the research initiatives of the Central Bank.
