New perspective on development of computer science and IT sector: memorandum of cooperation is signed
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Hrachya Astsatryan, Director of the Institute for Informatics and Automation Problems of NAS RA, today signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two structures to unite efforts and resources in areas of mutual interest and to carry out joint research works, various programs and projects.
By signing the memorandum, the parties aim to promote cooperation between the teaching staff, researchers and students, as well as to establish cooperative ties in the field of computer science and information technologies to implement training courses for teaching staff, organize students' practice, improve educational materials and apply modern teaching methods.
Within the framework of joint activities, the parties will use computing, network and library resources, as well as the scientific and educational potential, in scientific research, educational and practical works. In addition, joint conferences, seminars, scientific discussions and meetings will be organized.
As a result of the cooperation, it is expected to create a scientific and educational joint laboratory, which will carry out research studies, educational and methodical works in the field of information technologies, as well as in the direction of effective organization of students' practice.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the upcoming steps necessary for the realization of the goals set by the memorandum, expressing hope that the cooperation will be effective and will contribute to the development of both structures.
