Legal laboratory to be established in administrative building of General Prosecutor's Office
Due to the collaboration between Yerevan State University, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, a legal laboratory will be established in the administrative building of the General Prosecutor's Office. This laboratory is intended to serve as an educational platform for the development of professional knowledge in the legal field.
YSU Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan highlighted the forthcoming establishment of the legal laboratory, emphasizing its role as a crucial platform for future lawyers. He noted that it will provide students and professionals with opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills in accordance with modern legal standards.
Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan added that the laboratory will serve as a new, informal platform where the parties will initiate professional discussions, practical work, seminars and conferences on legal issues of mutual interest. Additionally, they will promote research on current legal topics and provide regularly updated professional literature and materials.
As part of the collaboration, reciprocal visits are planned, involving law students and Armenian lawyers who work in the diaspora.
"I am sure that as a result of our fruitful and continuous collaboration, the legal laboratory will promote the modernization and improvement of the professional knowledge and practical skills of students undergoing internship at the Prosecutor's Office, candidates of prosecutors undergoing probation, and working prosecutors," said Anna Vardapetyan.
Anna Vardapetyan expressed her gratitude to Yerevan State University Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Armenuhi Amy Ashvanian, a judge on the California Superior Court and member of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, for their willingness to support the initiative.
Armenuhi Hovhannisyan, representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, considering this format of collaboration important for the legal community, noted: "This collaboration is evidence of our commitment to uphold the rule of law and to advance the legal field. It reflects the values and vision shared by the three institutions."
