Insights from foreign specialists on current psychological issues
As part of the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Programme, YSU Faculty of Philosophy and Psychology hosted a series of lectures titled "Organizational Diagnosis, Consumer Behavior and the Psychology of Decision-Making". The program was implemented by specialists from both YSU and Aalen University (Germany).
Seda Shahverdyan, a lecturer at YSU Social and Clinical Psychology Chair, along with Anja Dieckmann, Regina Kempen, and Marco Philipp, business psychology lecturers from Aalen University, introduced students to modern approaches, ongoing research, and innovative technologies in organizational and business psychology. While Aalen University's collaboration with YSU has spanned several years, this was the first visit from the speakers.
On the first day, Regina Kempen delivered a lecture on the significance of organizational diagnosis, discussing various methods and expected outcomes. Following the theoretical part, students engaged in practical work, actively participating and presenting their views.
On the second day, Marco Philipp discussed the nuances of decision-making within organizations, focusing on the psychological and environmental factors that facilitate effective decision-making.
On the third day, Anja Dieckmann addressed the psychological aspects of consumer behavior, emphasizing the importance of emotional engagement and its advantages in advertising.
During the meeting, the lecturers presented the bachelor's and master's programs available at Aalen University, emphasizing that YSU students can participate in these programs through the Erasmus+ programme.
Attendees included undergraduate and graduate students from the faculty’s "Psychology" program. The partners underscored the importance of their collaborative initiatives and expressed a commitment to their continuation.
