Meeting with the governor at Central Bank of Armenia
During the meeting with students from the YSU Economics and Management Faculty, Martin Galstyan, the Central Bank Governor, shared insights on the current challenges in monetary policy.
Martin Galstyan, Governor at the Central Bank of Armenia and a graduate of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, commented on the role of the FPAS Mark II system in forecasting. He discussed inflation control and risk management issues, as well as presented international trends and their impact on Armenia.
Attendees raised questions about "green" finance, capital flows, current trends in global debt, and structural reforms, leading to an engaging discussion.
The meeting held at the Dilijan Teaching and Research Center was attended by the Dean of the YSU Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Karlen Khachatryan; Deputy Dean, Associate Professor Vardan Aleksanyan; chair heads; faculty members; as well as Professor Felix Ario from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca (Romania) and Associate Professor Inessa Avanesova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, from the Moscow School of Economics at Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia).
At the end of the meeting, students visited the Money Museum of the Central Bank, where they explored existing exhibits and learned about the protective features of Armenian banknotes and coins. They also examined circulating commemorative coins, collector coins, and investment drams.
Such visits are crucial for enhancing financial education and practical knowledge among students, as well as for strengthening the relationship between the Central Bank and the faculty.
