YSU and Catholic University of Lublin strengthen scientific and educational ties
Yerevan State University hosted Mirosław Kalinowski, Rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland. During the visit, discussions focused on the existing collaborative ties between the two universities and the development prospects.

From Decades of Collaboration to New Opportunities
YSU and the Catholic University of Lublin have been cooperating at the inter-university level for many years, including through the Erasmus+ program. This collaboration has facilitated bilateral exchange programs for students, as well as academic and administrative staff. The successful implementation of these programs has led to the signing of an inter-university agreement, laying the foundation for the further expansion of cooperation.

In recent years, the two universities have created opportunities for professors to engage in mutual visits with the aim of exchanging knowledge and academic experience. Although these programs do not receive financial support under the Erasmus+, the partner universities cover part of the expenses, particularly those related to accommodation.
The Key Objective of the Visit: New Horizons for Cooperation
The main focus of the rector's visit was the expansion of cooperation by involving new areas. Special attention was given to strengthening ties with YSU Faculty of Theology, as this field holds strategic importance for the Catholic University of Lublin. Additionally, opportunities for joint programs in philosophy, biology, and biotechnology were discussed.
Both sides expressed willingness to continue their collaboration, enriching their already established partnership with new initiatives and scientific-educational projects.
