IT IS PLANNED TO DEVELOP OPEN SCIENCE AND RESEARCH HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT STRATEGY
The MINERVA project (Strengthening Research Management and Open Science Capacities of HEIs in Moldova and Armenia) is implemented in the framework of the European Union's Erasmus + program.
Vice-rector for Natural and Exact Professions Rafayel Barkhudaryan, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of YSU Alexander Markarov and head of the Scientific Policy Department Ishkhan Vardanyan visited the University of Liege in Belgium within the framework of the "MINERVA" program, to get acquainted with the best practices of HRS4R for researchers.
The aim of the visit was to study the process of development of Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).
The University of Liège is one of the first in the world to adopt the Open Science principles (2007), and it has a huge experience in organizing processes of acquiring the HRS4R label.
In a conversation with us, Alexander Margarov, Head of YSU International Cooperation Department, said that in the framework of the MINERVA project is planned to develop or refine the human resources management strategy for researchers, which will prepare scientists for the labor market and society, and further enhancing their skills through practical training.
Vice-rector Rafael Barkhudaryan stated that human resource management policy is very important in every institution, especially in universities.
Rafael Barkhudaryan also noted that open science means that scientific works will be available and this is a big responsibility.
According to him access to science will also contribute to the internationalization of the university, as well as enhancing the reputation of researchers and disseminating scientific results.
