The delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the Speaker of the Senate of Kazakhstan, Dariga Nazarbayeva, was hosted today at the Center for Kazakh Culture, History and Language of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies.
YSU acting rector Gegham Gevorgyan, Vice-rector on International Cooperation and Public Affairs Artur Israelyan, Head of International Cooperation Department Alexander Margarov, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Ruben Melkonyan, professor of Turkology and students were present.
During the visit the Head of Chair of Turkish Studies, Professor Alexander Safaryan, welcoming the guests, presented the history of Armenian-Kazakh cultural ties and linguistic-cultural relations.
Dariga Nazarbayeva advised to study Kazakh and visit Kazakhstan as often as possible. "I should note that the universities of our country actively cooperate with our international partners, and it is always a pleasure to see foreign students in our universities."
Dariga Nazarbayeva also told the students about the creative work of the Armenian community in Kazakhstan, saying that Armenians have always lived well in Kazakhstan.
