DONATION OF BOOKS HAS BECOME A TRADITION AT YSU
Books are given to YSU students by the initiative of the Library Directorate at the YSU Library after Sargis and Marie Izmirlian.
On the initiative of the library administration in the lobby of the Sarkis and Marie Izmirlian Library YSU students were given books.
February 19 is the "Book Donation Day" in Armenia.
Celebrating Book Day on this day is not accidental. Today is the birthday of famous Armenian writer, translator, literary and public activist Hovhannes Tumanyan.
YSU is also taking the initiative and has been donating books for the third year.
Library Director Yeznik Mirzoyan said books are on the table and YSU students can pick them up.
“Interestingly, the Faculty of Law also joined the initiative by providing us with two books:”he said.
The library director expressed the hope that donating books would become a culture in time and also that books would also be donated to the library.
He said that the initiative had succeeded and that the books on the tables had expired in a very short time.
