THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING DID NOT TAKE PLACE. MORE THAN HALF OF THE BOARD MEMBERS WERE NOT PRESENT
The Board of Trustees meeting did not take place, because voting was not secured.
It should be noted that the proposed agenda of the meeting included presenting a Rector's Report on the main activities of the Yerevan State University Foundation for 2018-19 academic year and approving the activities foreseen by the 2016-2020 Yerevan State University Fund Strategic Development Program 2018-19.
It should be reminded that according to the charter of the Yerevan State University Foundation, the Board of Trustees meeting is valid if more than half of the Board members participate.
YSU Student Council Chairman David Apoyan said the absence of student members is a sign of protest against the reduction in the number of student members in the Governing Council by the draft law on Higher Education and Science.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of YSU Gevorg Muradyan expressed his opinion on the protest, considering it ineffective.
