NEW TOOLS ARE EXPECTED TO BE DEVELOPED AS A RESULT OF NEW SCIENTIFIC THEME AT YSU
As we have already informed, within the framework of the contractual (thematic) financing of scientific and scientific-technical activities announced by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, 5 topics were guaranteed from YSU. One is "Asymmetric Organocatalysis Synthesis and Activity Based on Azoles".
In a conversation with us, Armen Galstyan said that the research on the presented topic has been carried out for only twenty years.
"Asymmetric synthesis is very relevant in science. Many biologically active substances have a clear spatial structure. The possible tools whose creation will allow active compounds to be obtained are also relevant."he said.
According to the head of the research group, the program envisages the creation of new tools that will allow obtaining high-purity materials with a chiral structure. "The activity of the scientists who won the Nobel Prize this year testifies to the urgency of the topic. They study chiral synthesis." he said.
