NEW PROSPECTS OF ARMENIAN-CHINESE COOPERATION: YSU HOSTED THE AMBASSADOR EXTRAORDINARY AND PLENIPOTENTIARY OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA TO ARMENIA FAN YONG

New ways and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed during the meeting.

YSU Acting Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan said that YSU cooperates with many Chinese universities and is ready to establish and develop new partnership relations, which on the one hand will promote the development of the Armenian-Chinese relations, on the other hand will further increase the scientific communication between the two countries.

Presenting the educational and research programs implemented at YSU, as well as making them more effective, Hovhannes Hovhannisyan informed that there are Chinese and Chinese cultural centers in the university and the students are interested in the activities of the centers.

During the meeting the parties discussed ways of cooperation, which will provide opportunities for exchange programs, mutual visits of professors of the two universities, joint academic and cultural events and other programs.

Hovhannes Hovhannisyan also presented the educational programs and directions that may be interesting for Chinese students.
