YSU AND DIRECTOR OF "GRANT THORNTON" CJSC SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION
YSU Acting Rector Hovhannes Hovhannisyan and Director of "Grant Thornton" CJSC Armen Hovhannisyan signed a memorandum of cooperation today.
The signing of the memorandum is aimed at the development of education in Armenia and increasing its efficiency.
YSU Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations Artur Israyelyan and YSU Alumni and Career Center Director Lilit Hakobyan were also present at the meeting.
It should be noted that the memorandum was signed at the suggestion of YSU Alumni and Career Center.
It will enable students to apply theoretical knowledge and gain practical skills and experience of the field.
The partnership will also support young professionals in finding work, as well as facilitate regular professional contacts and dialogue between students and professionals.
"We are glad to have the opportunity to expand our cooperation with the university. Now, with the development of digital technologies, a new era is beginning, and new opportunities for the export of intellectual products are emerging. During our work we mainly have problems with insufficient human resources. Therefore, in cooperation, I attach importance to the fact that we will have the opportunity to work with students before they become graduates, "said Armen Hovhannisyan.
The acting rector of YSU said, that the employer-university connection should be strengthened and expanded: "Nowdays, the labor market is changing very quickly, so sometimes education is not able to fully meet these requirements. Internship is the field that allows us to adapt to the new demands of the labor market".
It is also planned to organize lectures, seminars, roundtables and other events for the university students, lecturers and staff.
