THE STUDENT COUNCIL OF THE YSU FACULTY OF LAW CONTINUES ITS WORK WITHIN THE PROGRAM "LEGAL AWARENESS IN THE REGIONS"
During the visit to Shirak Marz (region), the student-speakers of the faculty presented the general relationship between the state and the law and their characteristics, concluding the lecture by informing students of the main rights and obligations.
As part of the "Legal awareness in the regions" project, the Student Council of the faculty of law organized lectures and discussions at the School of Economics in Gyumri and the Suren Avetisyan High School in Spitak. The main topics discussed were "Theories of State and Law Emergence", "State and Law", and "Constitutional Characteristics of RA".
During the lectures, the basic human rights were presented to the students, including their basic rights and responsibilities, thus increasing the legal awareness of high school students and their awareness of their rights.
The schoolchildren were also presented with the basic rights and freedoms granted to a person by the constitution, their protection, and the prohibition of abuse, and at the end of the meeting, situational questions were asked, allowing them to strengthen the knowledge they had already received.
Mane Khachatryan, President of the student council of the faculty of law of YSU, referring to the importance of such events, mentioned, "Such events provide an opportunity to raise the legal awareness of schoolchildren as members of society, giving them the knowledge that is necessary for everyone to be a citizen with a high level of legal awareness."
The student council of the faculty of law will continue the awareness that has already become a tradition, emphasizing the formation of legal awareness from the school-age itself.
