Mariam defines herself as a curious, smart, and active student, she says that she tries to apply these qualities in her scientific activities.
Narrated by Mariam herself.
Choosing a profession was very difficult for me...
Getting an education at Yerevan State University was one of my goals, but I thought throughout about choosing a profession. I chose the Faculty of Geography and Geology because I could not imagine my life without daily active communication with people. From the very first day of studying here, I realized that I made the right choice.
I was attracted by the scientific and research activities at SSS...
Each new study contributes to the formation of a worldview. That is the reason why I do research with the greatest love, read more articles, and get acquainted with the changes and challenges happening in the world. My first research paper was published in the "Collection of Scientific Articles of the SSS" periodical.
My research works are aimed at contributing to the development of the country…
By studying, for example, the field of tourism, we can develop it in such a way that it becomes a priority branch in Armenia and promotes the progress of other branches of the economy. In my work, I try to address not only tourism; but also service and the issues there.
In our faculty, students are given many opportunities...
The Faculty of Geography and Geology paves the way to the scientific arena. I regularly participate in various programs, forums, and conferences allow me to learn from the best specialists in the field and have professional discussions with them. In this way, I try to be involved not only in scientific work; but also to apply the knowledge I have gained in life for the benefit of our country.
Recently, within the framework of the "PRO EXTOUR" project in Bulgaria and Georgia, I presented the experiential tourism programs developed by me, studying the culture and experience of those countries in order to apply them in our country. In my opinion, all of this is an immaculate and unique opportunity for students. In addition to that, I should also mention that we receive the best professional education at the Faculty of Geography and Geology.
My future is in Yerevan State University, in my faculty...
I would like to continue my education with a master's degree, do new research work, and become more proficient in my profession.
