PROGRAMS INITIATED BY YSU FACULTY OF LAW CONTRIBUTE TO THE ACQUISITION OF NEW PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
The "Learning by Doing" program was launched at the Faculty of Law of YSU, within the framework of which a lecture entitled "Skills for drawing up claims and petitions" was held.
The main goal of the two-phase “Learning by Doing” program is to provide students with professional-practical knowledge and teach new skills relevant to administrative, civil, and criminal specializations that students will use during the second semester's court-games.
In the first phase of the program, courses in civil and administrative specializations are held. Member of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Armenia, General Director of the law firm "ELL Partnership", shareholder Gohar Gevorgyan presented the requirements for filing a claim, the conditions for accepting the claim, the main rights of the defendant and the plaintiff, and discussed many examples from practice.
It is noteworthy that in the second phase of the program, educational trials will be organized for students with relevant specializations, during which the participants will implement the practical knowledge and skills they have acquired in previously formed teams.
It should be noted that the participants included in the program are a second, third, fourth year, and master's degree students. Students who have participated in 80 percent of the courses and successfully passed to the next stage will only have the opportunity to participate in the simulation court-games starting in the next academic semester.
