INTERNATIONAL PARLIAMENTARY SCHOLARSHIP FOR YSU STUDENTS
With the joint efforts of the YSU International Cooperation Department and the German Embassy in RA, an informative meeting was organized regarding the "International Parliamentary Scholarship" program of the German Bundestag.
At the meeting, Bundestag deputy Christian Haase and the head of the International Department of the Free University of Berlin, Herbert Grieshop, presented the features, opportunities, and advantages of the "International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPF)" program.
Emphasizing Armenia's involvement in the program, the speakers mentioned, "The IPF is aimed at strengthening the existing relations between the participating countries and Germany, deepening ideas about democracy, tolerance, and cultural diversity."
Head of YSU International Cooperation Department Alexander Margarov, emphasizing the need and importance of such informative meetings for YSU students, noted that the program is a wonderful opportunity not only to be acquainted with the activities of the Bundestag and the parliamentary system of Germany but also to deepen language knowledge and intercultural ties.
During the five months of the program, while working in the office of one of the members of the Bundestag, the participants get to know the German parliamentary system and the process of making political decisions, gaining experience in the field of parliamentary work. In addition, scholarship recipients are considered Humboldt University students while studying in the summer academic semester and have the opportunity to participate in university lectures and educational events.
