YSU HELPS SCHOOLCHILDREN IN CHOOSING A FUTURE PROFESSION
Media literacy and the study of media tools, politics, and legal defense: from animal biological activity to catalysts and pharmaceuticals, etc. Many pupils of high schools and colleges of Yerevan and RA marzes (regions) get to know all this during their visits to different faculties of YSU.
The YSU Admissions and Applicants Center regularly presents pupils with the YSU admission procedure, faculties, and features of various professions, educational programs, and subjects taught at the faculties, thus strengthening the university-applicant connection.
Kristine Harutyunyan, Head of the YSU Center for affairs with applicants and admission, notes that in a short period, pupils get to know not only their preferred faculty and specialties, listen to lectures, but also the traditions of the university with a rich history of a century, orienting themselves in the matter of choosing a university.
"Pupils regularly visit university faculties. I can confidently say that they know that regardless of their profession, YSU will make the students' everyday life memorable with its high-quality education, innovative methods and courses organized using modern technologies, cultural and sports events, and, most importantly, will contribute to their chosen field to become a leading specialist", says K. Harutyunyan and adds, "I often see the pupils hosted at YSU already as students of the university."
Different faculties of YSU not only host schoolchildren but visit schools in RA marzes as well.
Such collaborations will be continuous.
