A REPORTING LESSON ON ARABIC LANGUAGE AT YSU FACULTY OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
Today, at YSU Faculty of International Relations, Chair of International Relations, a unique test was held.
Students were given the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge gained in Arabic during the past three years during the reporting lesson.
Anna Harutyunyan, a 3rd year student of the International Relations Chair, presented the details of the event and mentioned that the students were enthusiastic about organizing a unique class.
"Here students are taught two professional languages: English and Arabic on an optional basis," - said Anna Harutyunyan, "and since we also summarize language teaching in the third year, we decided to mark the end of the third year by organizing this event."
The topic of the event was the UN. The students presented the history of the establishment of the largest international structure, its structure, branches, functions, committees in Arabic, as well as touched upon the history of Armenia's membership to this structure.
Arthur Israelyan, Deputy Dean, Associate Professor of the Department of Diplomatic Service and Communication at YSU Faculty of International Relations, said during the conversation with us that it was not accidental to choose the topic of the event: "Arabic is one of the six official UN languages."
Additionally, the event was organized for the first time at the Faculty of International Relations. During the event, students also performed two songs in Arabic.
