DEAN OF YSU FACULTY OF SOCIOLOGY WAS RE-ELECTED
Dean of the Faculty of Sociology, Professor Arthur Mkrtichyan was re-elected Dean of the Faculty with 23 votes for and 0 - against. 23 of the 24 members of the Faculty's Academic Council participated in the election of the Dean. Acting Dean Arthur Mkrtichyan was nominated by all the chairs of the faculty.
YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan was also present at the election, together with the professors and faculty members of the faculty.
Artur Mkrtichyan first presented to his colleagues the main provisions and key issues of his program, in which the consistent work is being planned.
The speaker mentioned that the program was built on the basis of the strategic program of the faculty, already established and approved by the Academic Council, and thus highlighted several more important directions.
Heads of chairs, lecturers and students spoke about the work of the Dean of the Faculty, as well as his human qualities.
Vice-rector Gegham Gevorgyan congratulated the newly elected dean, as well as all the representatives of the faculty for creating a warm, friendly and at the same time a practical atmosphere.
