YSU BIOLOGY FACULTY PRESENTS A NEW MASTER'S PROGRAM
Today a presentation was held at the Microbial Biotechnology and Biofuel Innovation Center at YSU Faculty of Biology, during which students were introduced to the latest generation equipment (vacuun cabin, ultra-low temperature range, refrigerator, microscope, etc.), as well as laboratory activities.
Lecturer at YSU Chair of Biochemistry and Microbiology Karen Trchunyan gave a detailed presentation on the latest generation equipment needed for professional orientation as well as knowledge in practice: "The students are not so informed, and a thorough acquaintance will guide them to make the right choice," - he added.
Then students got acquainted with the Master's Program in Applied Microbiology and Innovative Biotechnology, which is one of the new programs of the faculty. Karen Trchunyan also presented the subjects, which include Microbiology Biotechnology, Microbiology Analytical Methods, Biodiversity Management, Biomass and Bioenergy, etc.
He also added that it is planned to conduct English language courses, as a result of which the master program will develop more.
