HAYK SARGSYAN WILL BE THE DEAN OF YSU FACULTY OF ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT FOR ANOTHER FIVE YEARS
Today, on the agenda of YSU Faculty of Economics and Management Academic Council session, one issue was - the election of the Dean of the Faculty, for which professors Hayk Sargsyan and Mikael Mikayelyan were nominated.
YSU Vice-rector on Scientific Policy and International Cooperation Gegham Gevorgyan, 35 members of the Faculty Scientific Council, representatives of professorial staff, students and alumni were present at the dean’s election.
The session was chaired by Grisha Gharibyan, Professor and Honorary Head of the Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations.
Mikael Mikayelyan, Professor at the Chair of Economics and International Economic Relations, made the first speech and presented his program.
M. Mikaelyan touched upon the right and equal use of the scientific potential of the faculty, as well as the implementation of programs aimed at the development of various activities.
Then Hayk Sargsyan presented the main provisions of his program.
Hayk Sargsyan spoke about the activity of the student structures of the faculty, noting that students are quite active and initiative, which is welcoming and plays a great role in the development of the faculty.
The speakers also answered a number of questions from the colleagues, after which the meeting participants made speeches.
Hayk Sargsyan was elected Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management with 27 votes in favor (0 - against), and 8 members of the Academic Council voted for Mikayel Mikayelyan (0 - against).
