YSU PHD STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE RESEARCH WORKS AT BRNO UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
PhD students at YSU Faculty of Physics (Chair of Nuclear Physics) Susanna Gaginyan and Elmira Melyan participated in the program "Women in Science" at the Brno University of Technology in the Czech Republic.
Within the framework of the program, scientific works led by Prof. Karel Katowski, representing Brno University of Technology, were conducted from March 4 to May 31.
It should be noted that a cooperation agreement was signed between Brno University of Technology and YSU in 2016, in the framework of which Prof. Karo Katsovski, Professor of the Brno University of Technology, delivered a lecture at YSU.
Susanna Gaginyan told us that she was introduced to Professor Karel Katowski during the lecture and applied to the Czech program "Women in Science" at his suggestion.
The international team for the scientific work carried out within the framework of the "Women in Science" program was mainly composed of engineers, and PhD students from YSU were involved in the field of physics," - Susanna said and added that in the framework of cooperation they were provided with the opportunity of the exchange of experience, to study a number of programs, as well as gained new knowledge.
"We will use our knowledge and experience in our scientific works as well as transfer it to YSU students," - she added.
Susanna mentioned that this program will be continuous, within the framework of which the already selected participants will participate in the scientific works to be held at Brno University of Technology next year.
