CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE COURSE "RUSSIAN FOR CHILDREN" AT YSU
On July 18, YSU Russian Center hosted the closing ceremony of the "Russian for Children" Summer Course, during which participants and volunteers received certificates.
It should be noted that YSU Russian Center has been organizing Russian language courses for 7 to 9 year old children of YSU staff for the last 10 years, which is based on a pre-developed and prepared program, which is mainly based on game methodology. The training was launched on June 18.
YSU Russian Center Director Arusyak Nersisyan said that the goal of the program for the first and second year pupils was to help children to love Russian and to overcome the complex of communication in that language.
"With our warm atmosphere, tasks and games, cartoons and fairy tales created at our center, children appear in Russian language environment. During the lessons, children speak Russian, communicate with each other, we treat individual attitudes and attention towards each child," - she added.
Additionally, volunteers were included in the program as well as participants of previous years of the course. The Little Volunteers Alisa, Irina and Elen, as well as post-graduate student of the Russian Philology Faculty Anna Khizantsyan coordinated the activities of the center.
"Volunteers who have attended summer courses helped children to overcome the lingual barrier," - said YSU Russian Center Director.
