YSU PHD STUDENT PARTICIPATED IN EUROPEAN SCHOOL OF HIGH-ENERGY PHYSICS
PhD student of the Chair of Nuclear Physics at YSU Faculty of Physics Elmira Melyan participated in the European School of High-Energy Physics, which was held from June 20 to July 3 in Maratea, Italy. Elmira told us about her impressions and achievements.
This year, 97 representatives from around 40 countries participated in the European School of High-Energy Physics organized jointly with the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR).
Elmira told us that the participants were divided into different groups, and each made a presentation on the physics-biotechnologies of high energies. She also said that two BBC correspondents were invited to the European School, who taught how give an interview properly and present their scientific works in interesting formats.
“This school was a great platform where young people from different countries met and discussed various issues in the field of physics, exchange of international experience, as well as the participants presented history and culture of their countries. When I was telling about our country, some of the participants expressed a wish to visit Armenia as a tourist. I hope they will come,” - said YSU Faculty of Physics PhD student.
