THE FACULTY OF SOCIOLOGY MARKS ITS 14TH ANNIVERSARY OF FOUNDATION WITH A YOUTH CONFERENCE

The conference started with the congratulatory speech made by the SSS of the Faculty Shushanna Harutyunyan. She outlined that the conference is a special platform which makes it possible for young researchers to present the results of their research activity to the academic audience to develop their skills in scientific work.

Thus year 32 reporters were registered for the conference. The chairs of the faculty and the Association of Social Work have provided a number of awards and the Faculty prize has been set for the best reporter to be chosen by the professional jury.

Those present were greeted and wished fruitful activity by the Dean of the Faculty of Sociology Arthur Mkrtchyan who mentioned that it had been decided to celebrate the 14th anniversary modestly so as to get ready for the 15th anniversary celebration within the scope of the 100th anniversary of YSU foundation.

The reports were made by the students of YSU, Vanadzor State University, KU Leuven University (Belgium). The representatives of the faculty, students, postgraduates, youth interested in sociology were among those present.

The main directions of the symposium were sociology, social work, conflictology, public relations, human resource management.

The name of the winners of the faculty awards will be announced tomorrow.
