CHANGING CHALLENGES OF CHANGING JOURNALISM
What challenges does contemporary journalism have to overcome? What new conditions have been crated for journalism development? What is the role of journalists to be in this situation?
In 2016, when journalism was changing drastically every minute, German journalists Karl Nikolaus Renner, Tanev Schuiz and Jurgen Wilke decided to study the changes and published the bool of essays entitled “ Journalism between autonomy and usefulness”.
In this book the authors ask whether journalists carry on staying an unbiased source of information or whether they are sources with certain political interest and political functions which are losing their trustfulness with public from day to day.
According to the authors, people who don’t trust Mass Media anymore don’t trust to the developing democratic processes as well as they think that their opinion is not expressed properly in public discussion or rather it is not represented at all.
