YSU STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN CAMP-TRAINING ORGANIZED IN IRAN
On December 31 YSU students participated in the camp-trainings organized by the International Federation of Ice Climbing in Iran and returned to Armenia with a victory.
It should be noted that the “Aparazh” mountaineering club of YSU has been holding mountaineering trainings and organizing events for two years. The interest and involvement of YSU students in mountaineering trainings is actually noticeable.
During the camp-trainings in Iran YSU students outstood with their persistence and stamina in spite of their little experience.
The member of the department of the Armenian Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism Federation, the deputy President of the Mountaineering Federation of Iran Suren Stepanyan noted that they brought in the New Year far from home and started it with achievements.
The students took part in camp-training for the first time. They familiarized themselves with ice climbing equipment, took part in trainings and got a qualification.
Suren Stepanyan expressed satisfaction with the results gained by the students, stressed their physical readiness and team unity.
The students participated in the training expressed their inspiration and eagerness to conquer new heights, particularly the peak of Ararat.
The coach also informed that in March they are going to organize a mountaineering competition in which foreign mountaineers will be involved too.
