NEW FORMAT OF ONLINE LEARNING BY SMARTPHONES TO BE USED AT YSU
The employees of the Chair of Ecology and nature Protection of the Faculty of Biology and the Information Technologies Educational and Research Centre worked out a new way of online learning of “Basics of Ecology and Nature Protection”.
It is to be put into operation since the second term of the academic year of 2018-2019. The deputy Dean of the Faculty of Biology of YSU, acting head of the Chair of Ecology and Nature Protection Karlen Ghazaryan informed that the new way of learning makes the process more available and comfortable.
An interactive component is added to the learning process. K. Ghazaryan stressed that the new method arises from the strategic program of YSU development planned for 2016-2020. He also added that all the lecturers delivering this subject master all skills necessary for online teaching.
According to K.Ghazaryan, this subject was chosen to be the first one to test the new method as it is included in the list of compulsory subjects in all faculties of YSU. The acting deputy Dean is sure that the new technologies will significantly increase the quality of studies and motivate students to do better.
