SCIENTIFIC THEME: A NEW METHOD OF MEASUREMENT OF ULTRASHORT IMPULSES
The scientific theme “Similaritonic technique of femtosecond pulse duration determination” presented by the junior researcher Research Institute of Physics of YSU Faculty of Physics Minas Sukiasyan was guaranteed for the MES Science Committee financing.

Presenting the scientific theme, the leader of the program explained that currently the progress of Laser Physics, particularly of ultrashort impulses generation makes it possible to apply ultrafast optics in various fields of science. Ultrashort laser radiation is used in modern microscopy, telecommunication, medicine and other fields.
According to M. Sukiasyan, the goal of the theme is to work out and improve the new technique of measurement of ultrasound impulse duration.
The new device constructed on the basis of the proposed method will be equal to autocorrelator but a few times more available.
