YOU SHOULD WRITE ABOUT WHAT YOU EXPERIENCED: A MEETING WITH THE POET AND NOVELLIST ANDRANIK HAKOBYAN
The meeting with the poet and novelist Andranik Hakobyan was held in Charents hall of YSU.
The meeting was organized by the SSS of the Faculty of Journalism. The Dean of the Faculty Nagash Martirosyan, literary critic Petros Demirchyan, poet Hovik Hoveyan, the chief editor of “Armenian Encyclopedia” Hovhannes Ayvazyan, composer Edward Zorikyan, heads of the chairs, lecturers and students of the faculty were present at the meeting.
Naghash Martirosyan greeted those present and introduced the guests.
The guests and students made speeches and recited Andranik Hakobyan’s works.
The first collection written by Andranik Hakobyan who is a philosopher-sociologist by profession, is called “Alone against the wind” and was published in 2001.
The writer’s favourite themes are countryside, villages, villagers, the nature and mountains.
In his works Andranik Hakobyan also referred to the theme of war stressing its uselessness and injustice.
According to the literary critic Petros Demirchyan, Andranik Hakobyan is a master of comparisons.
