“FROM THE DEPTH OF CENTURIES”: FIRST DOCUMENTARY VIDEO FILM PRESENTING ARMENIA IN FARSI WAS SHOWN AT YSU
Toda the Chair of Iranian Studies of YSU Faculty of Oriental Studies organized the show of the documentary film “From the depth of centuries”.
The scenario author and director of the film Robert Matosyan was present at the event.
Mr. Matosyan told those present about the process of film making in new independent Armenia. He recollected how they had to recharge the equipment in the Underground because of energy cuts of those year. He also outlined the Oriental tempo and music of the film.
The first exhibition of the Middle East Art Museum, the first Iranian school in Armenia, the Blue Mosque in Yerevan found their place in the film.
The film also documented the opening event of the YSU library after Sargis and Mari Izmirlyans, the speech of the founder and the first Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Gevorg Nalbandyan.
