PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK BY ANAHIT MASASYAN TO TAKE PLACE AT YSU
The presentation of the monography entitled “Constitutional stability as an important guarantee for sustainable democracy” by the Associate Professor of the Chair of Constitutional Law, Vice-Rector of the Academy of Justice, PhD in Law Anahit Manasyan was held today in Paleans Hall of YSU.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law of YSu Gagik Ghazinyan, the Doctor of Law, Professor, the author of the book review Gevorg Danielyan, the RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan, representatives of the teaching staff, judges, politicians were present at the event.
The book is dedicated to the evaluation of constitutional stability and its role in the guarantee of sustainable democracy.
The research presented in the book deals with the democracy doctrine, fundamental problems of constitutional stability and the Constitution development, legal structures of settlement of constitutional disputes, official interpretation of the Constitution, the notion of “constitutional identity” and its evaluative description.
As a result of the studies made by the author numerous theoretical conclusions were made, new conceptions were worked out and a number of practical proposals related to the RA legislation and legal practice improvement were presented. The monography is comprised of 5 chapters which are divided into 4 subchapters. It is provided for those who are interested in constitutional law, theory and philosophy of law, sociology and political science.
Anahit Manasyan is the author and co-author of 4 monographies, one textbook, one manual and about fifty scientific articles which were published in Armenian and foreign prestigious scientific almanacs.
At the beginning of the presentation the Dean of the Faculty of Law Gagik Ghazinyan noted that the book is highly actual. He spoke about the importance of the right understanding of conception of democracy as it is not simply a state structure when the power belongs to people.
Gevorg Danielyan noted that the conceptions mentioned in the book will always be actual irrespectively from further development of the political situation.
The RA Minister of Justice Artak Zeynalyan noted that one of the challenges of modern civilization is the sustainable democracy and the state based on it. And the constitutional stability is the firm ground for sustainable democracy.
At the end of the presentation the author told about the selection of the cover for the book, noting that space is considered to be the symbol of stability the synonyms of which-peace, safety, harmony. And these notions are held in the basis of guarantee of stability of public systems.
