19 LECTURERS TAKEN PART IN TRAINING AND FAMILIARIZED WITH ONE OF THE NEW T&L METHODS
Within the scope of “ERASMUS+PRINTeL” program, the Associate Professor of the Chair of English for Cross-Cultural Communication of the Faculty of European Languages and Communication Marineh Yaghubyan took part in “Video materials as a teaching tool for teachers and students” re-training course held at the University of Porto.
On coming back, she organized trainings to share with her colleagues.
Among other new methods of teaching Marineh Yaghubyan outlined “Panopto” innovation program. It is an online platform to make and show necessary video materials. “We don’t have this program at YSU, here we use “Moodle”.
19 lecturers of the faculty took part in the 5-day trainings. The problems of instilling this method and its advantages were discussed during the trainings. The facilities of classrooms are still not enough for the full installation of this method. However, the faculty plans to purchase necessary equipment next year and then the method will be used on regular basis.
