“LITHUANIA, MY FREEDOM!”: FILM SHOW AT YSU
The Lithuanian Embassy to Armenia participates in Francophonie 2019 program, and within the frames of this program the film “Lithuania, My Freedom!” was shown today in Paleans Hall of YSU.
The event was organized by YSU International Cooperation Department. The Vice Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to Armenia Nida Dalmantayte and the second Secretary of the Embassy Yomantas Pabirzhis were present at the event.
Nida Dalmantayte thanked for assisting in holding the film show. She informed that Russian, English and German are more popular in Lithuania than French but they do their best to popularize it.
Mr. Pabirzhis referred to the idea of film creation and its history. He said that the aim of the film was to tell about the one-hundred-year-old history of Lithuania independence. First it was planned to make a film about the Paris Conference of 1919 and the role of Lithuanians in it, as a result it also presents the ideas related to freedom.
