“THE ROLE OF YOUTH IN THE VELVET REVOLUTION OF 2018”: AWARDS AT YSU
The awards of the essays entitled “The Role of Youth in the Velvet Revolution of 2018” was held today at the Faculty of International Relations.
The contest was held within the frames of the cooperation of YSU Faculty of International Relations with SPFA French organization.
The event was sponsored by Francophonie development in Flandria” (Belgium) and “Richelieu International Europe” (Canada) organizations.
Students of YSU Faculty of International Relations and Faculty of European Languages and Communication, of Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov, of French University in Armenia and Francophonie clubs of “SPFA” French organization took part in the contest.
A specialized group was chosen to coordinate the activities of the contest.
The chair of the specialized group was the Associate Professor of the Chair of Diplomatic Service and Specialized Communication of YSu Faculty of International Relations, the person in charge of Francophonie organization “SPFA” Varduhi Petrosyan and the members were the lecturer of the Chair of French Philology of YSU Taguhi Blbulyan and the volunteer of “SPFA” organization, lecturer of French Claudine Snarski.
Of 52 written works the specialized group examined 38 works. As a result, the winner of “The Role of Youth in the Velvet Revolution of 2018” essay contest became the 4th year student of YSU Faculty of International Relations Lilit Antonyan (AMD 40 000), the second was the 3rd year student of the same faculty Anna Ghukasyan (AMD 30 000) and the third was the 4th year student of Yerevan Linguistic University after V. Bryusov Victoria Papazyan (AMD 20 000).
Varduhi Petrosyan thanked the students, the members of the specialized group and “SPFA” organization for the exciting experience.
The deputy Dean for Foreign Relations of YSU Faculty of International Relations Arthur Israelyan added that best three works as well as the best extracts from other works will be printed and published on the Internet. Mr. Israelyan handed the participants their prizes.
